The reason why anyone plays this character is because of his frame 3 nair, not thrupper
"Brawler's gameplan revolves around this move" Brawler's gameplan revolves around nair
Brawler Main here, Thrupper is amazing for finishing stocks, OOS, and Recovery, but nair is his entire kit, Nair is -3, Spammable, and Sets combos up for Thrupper, or into other confirms like Nair FSmash for example. Thrupper is amazing for closing, but Nair sets up that closing. Also for the upcoming Mii Swordfighter episode, Up Air is clearly his best, it does 20% on it’s own, disjointed, kills really well, weak hit is an amazing combo starter, is -4 on shield, has a great a-cancel, and has low endlag.
@@maxpogfrog I would argue for Shuriken for Swordie personally. Like the vast majority of their neutral is them zoning with the shuriken. It also combos into a lot. Its definally between upair and Shuriken though; both are really good
Next Is Mii Swordfighter and as someone who’s main Mii Swordfighter in ultimate since day 1, Mii Swords best move is his first neutral special, Gale Strike.

Thrupper is only optimal in about 2 thirds of matchups while nair is always brawler’s best neutral tool so I would go with nair
Not to mention that his other 2 up specials are really good as well

Bit odd that nair didnt win when nair won for Fox; considering how simular the moves are. But tbf you could argue its Brawler and Fox’s gravity that makes it so good. Then again Fox still won with nair anyways so…
The actual reason why i play mii brawler is because of suicide soaring axe kick, next is mii sworfighter and i think this is gonna bi controversal but im going whit up air, but up special 3 is the only reason i play mii swordfighter. But i don't play the character a lot because mii swordfigher kinda sucks and is one of the worst characters in the game in my opinion

Its Shuriken of Light. Thats is super annoying and combos into like everything. The majority of Swordies neutral is just spamming the Shuriken

Tornado is no longer even used by most msf players. I would go with shuriken or up air
Gale Strike is good but Uair is better imo. -4 on shield, does ~20%, chains into itself, weak hit combos really well, kills really well, autocancels and a-cancels well Gale Strike is still usable in some notable mus like Olimar, Steve, Etc. Also Shuriken is amazing but it’s upclose weakness hurts it hard from being the Best Move.
Nair is also nice
I admit that I mostly use pellets during neutral, but as a Mega Man main I usually mix in Metal Blades. That opens up opportunities to use Leaf Shield cancels and Airdrops to put on shield pressure, as it’s the main tool for combos & kill confirms. Then I don’t know if other Mega Men do this much, but Crash Bomb ledge traps during advantage are absolute 🔥 and I consider that another one of his best/underrated moves.

Dash attack is really good but water shuriken is the pinnacle of his neutral + nair is the more centralizing neutral tool since it has super high priority and combos just as well as dash attack.

I feel like you’d get less people flagrantly disagreeing with you if the clips you chose related to what you’re talking about. Like, you were talking about how good a combo starter dash attack is while the greninja kills with a dtilt combo.

i strongly disagree with this one, dash attack is not really safe as it may seem and I think fair and nair are much better for setting up neutral, spacing, staying safe in general, comboing and taking stocks
It's the best Dash Attack in the game. Nair is really good, yeah, but it's pretty obvious when they're about to go for it. DA has deceptively long range, combos into so many things at pretty much every percent. It sets up for kills, combos, crosses up hella nice, is fast as hell, and is overall just a broken move
Next is Mii Brawler and if you say anything other than Neutral Air, Esam will mess you up real bad.
BUT DOWN TILT
Next character is Mii Brawler, and no matter what moveset you are going for, it is always neutral air. Super quick, combos into imagination, is key for many of Brawler's most important confirms. It is one of the best neutral air in a vacuum and arguably even better on Brawler specifically.
Its a really good nair tho i think that in a vacuum ganondorf's nair is better
@@henkiestudios5117 I don't think so, because Brawler's is way faster, being frame 3 instead of frame 7 (that alone makes Ganondorf wish he had Brawler's nair instead, because his OOS game kinda sucks), and is safer on shield as well, all the while being better at connecting with landed opponents

Yeah fuck off is it dash attack. It's not a good neutral tool. Yes it combos but so does his entire kit. You should only use it to whiff punish and catch landings. However, nair is spammable and has the same or better combo potential; bair is a quick amazing aerial and combo extender and combos into dtilt upsmash; fair is an amazing neutral tool and kill option; dtilt is great for checking approaches, conditioning shield, and combos into everything. And ALL of these are safe on shield and ALL can beat gnw up b. Dash attack in neutral is a dead give away that you're up against an inexperienced player.

@@ThePromisedHat I think fair is really good but a little slow. Honestly, I think it could go to any of fair, bair, nair, dtilt. I think you could argue dtilt because greninja's approach pretty much has to come from the air because his dash grab sucks, dash attack is unsafe, and ftilt isn't rewarding enough and is unsafe most of the time. Dtilt however gives him a solid ground option which, while it doesn't have the frame data, is practically safe against every out of shield option because of the bullshit range you can get. And it combos into everything. I think it's the number one difference between a good and mid player. It's basically a mini ROB dtilt. In a vacuum, maybe it's not the best but when you give it to a character like greninja...

Question. Whats the functional difference between dash attack and down tilt here? Idk much about Greninja
Burst range and launch trajectory- Greninja has a long dash so dash attack has incredible burst range, but will stop comboing at high percents, while dtilt has much much less range but comes out faster and is a more reliable combo tool at kill percent bc it has low KB
Dash attack launches further, which helps Greninja follow up with aerial strings at %s where dtilt would send too low for the character's high jumps. Dash attack also has a lot more range, is more active, low profiles more, and can even cross up sometimes. Meanwhile, the lower knockback means dtilt is better for combos at higher %s, including the dtilt usmash and dtilt fair kill confirms.
D-tilt is safer on shield and is better for combos at high percent while dash atack is better for low percent, and even tho there is an overlap between 70% of the combos that start with D-tilt and dash atack there's still some combos that only work with Dash atack or D-tilt. Side note: You can combo in high percent with dash atack and at low percent with D-tilt, but it's not the best option

@@genepeebody303 it's not. There are very few situations where you should use it in neutral and they're generally because you're against a character with bad out of shield options. You can't hit shield with it. It's a great advantage tool because greninja is the best in the game at catching landings but there's almost always a better option in neutral. Fair, nair, bair, and dtilt are all safe on gnw up b when done right and all have combo potential. If I see a greninja dash attacking in neutral, I know I'm in for an easy game. If they're instead managing a dash dtilt instead and mixing up their aerial approaches, that's scary. Dash attack wasn't used for a reason. It's good to catch an approach or if you're sure they're going to retreat or drop shield. I think you can react to their retreat with it from certain distances and it is a very good move but it's not that significant of a tool and his other moves are a lot better.
If we are skipping into mii brawler then his best move is neutral air, if we are not skipping into mii brawler and we are gonna do palutena instead then her best move also takes the price for "the ultimate aireal" neutral air

His neutral b is a lot less practical than you'd think. It's pretty overrated, ngl. No combo potential, the charged version rarely hits if your opponent is good enough, and the no charge version is really only good for making your opponent approach in a similar vane to Joker's gun, just a lot less good. Deals a bit more damage than Joker's gun, but that's not saying much.

@@leviwaters1023 No, but I watch countless of them in top players and Nairo's streams and vids (rare case of a character online where the playerbase is actually dedicated to being good at the game instead of just cheesing) Don't get me wrong, Greninja is still high tier, I'm just saying his neutral b ain't nearly as good as people try to make it sound like. I swear that shuriken is used for nothing more than shield pressure at a certain point, which while definitely useful, it's weird that that's all it's really good for. And the no charge water pellets? Basically just a lesser Joker neutral b. It has its use obviously, I'm just saying people praise it too much. It really only works because Greninja is fast, but in a vacuum, a lot of characters aren't getting much use out of it.
@@titanbombomega honestly yes and no. It's not a broken move but it's not even that bad . Also don't compare it to Gun because it's the best disjonted hitbox in the game . The non charged version or the mid charge is good to annoy the opponent that's what basically the projectiles are made for , the damage is not what is important . Shuriken works that the non charged version is one the fastest projectiles and mid charge levels are made if you wanna rank damage or make the opponent guess when you are gonna throw it , the only problem is that shuriken it's frame 20 start up . The max shuriken is crazy good , because it's slow and big so you can cover a lot of space on the ground meanwhile gren can cover the air . Sometimes it's even good for ledgetrapping . Obiviously shuriken it's not Smaus chrage shot , it doesn't play the game for you but it's not garbage

I do count KO punch, and I would say that is Mac's best move. You could also argue "neutral b" is his best move since it also acts as a frame 1 super armored escape option when KO punch isn't active. If I didn't count KO punch, I would go with Jolt Haymaker over fsmash. On top of "haha recovery move", it serves as a combo finisher and kill confirm as well as covering platforms, which Mac couldn't otherwise pressure with anything meaningful. It even has niche applications in ledge trapping and edgeguarding. But since I do count KO punch, I will go with neutral b.

I think in this case Mac’s best move and the best move in Mac’s kit are different. The best move in his kit is inarguably F-Smash, armored, fast, kills, and is basically 3 different moves in one. However, I think in Little Mac’s kit, Jolt Haymaker is better. It is a great burst movement option that can cover platforms, essential to his offstage presence, and can serve as a sort of sudo-aerial. Not to mention down tilt -> side b is a very prominent kill confirm that Mac’s regularly use.
I don’t get these videos. Is the point to rank every characters objective best move overall? Or just every characters most important one without which they couldn’t work. That is two very different things

Are these determined in or out of context, in my opinion: oit of context, you're very correct, out of context I would say down special, but in context I think it is very close, but in my opinion, i would say side special.
Little Mac is basically the ONLY character in the game who uses his hands for every attack, meaning he's technically the most honest competitor
Not to say he isn't fun to watch but he's one of the more cheesy characters lol
